Marriage and Family Therapist (Retired)

CAROLESQUARE2

I am retired from my work with individual women, couples and families, including premarital couples. I am trained in several theoretical systems, including family systems theory, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and emotionally focused couple therapy. When I worked as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), I worked in education and business, but mostly one-on-one with individuals.
Paddy and I have been married for more than 50 years, and we have two adult children and four wonderful grandchildren. I have worked as a high school teacher and counsellor, and in various aspects of marketing and business, before my Master’s degree (UBC) in counselling psychology. I love being with people (I am an easy extrovert), creating home crafts, participating in spiritual discernment and yoga, and my great book group that has carried on for many years.
  • Retired as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) specializing in marriage and family (BC).
  • Retired from private practice work focusing on couples and individuals with a specialization in family systems theory (FST) and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT).

Like Paddy, I love reading. He loves “Barking at the Choir” by Gregory Boyle, which I also love, but I am most drawn to “Sabbath” by Wayne Muller. This is an interfaith reflection of rest and contemplation. Brilliant!
