Questions usually bring more illumination than answers. Stories often give more insight than sermons. Getting to the point often moves the inquirer further from it.
Recently I have been teaching on “The Emotional Life of Children” at school-based parent groups (most recently on the West side of Vancouver and in North Vancouver). And then I came across this Time magazine article on “The Growing Backlash Against Overparenting.” It makes sense to me. Let me know what you think.
Here is a great YouTube clip on counselling. I sent it out to my network of counsellors and they responded with hysterical comments of their own. Some said: “I’d say that if I had the guts.” Another said, “I am going to give that intervention a try!”
