I just finished “The Book of Negroes” by the Canadian writer Lawrence Hill. Wonderfully researched and expertly written, I emotionally fused with the story, identifying with each triumph and tragedy. (more…)

Bubble-wrapped Kids

Recently I have been teaching on “The Emotional Life of Children” at school-based parent groups (most recently on the West side of Vancouver and in North Vancouver). And then I came across this Time magazine article on “The Growing Backlash Against Overparenting.” It makes sense to me. Let me know what you think.
